I like Holliday but I like Wood more, hopefully this propels me in one move to the top of the West, I feel with this deal I have adequate starting pitching and do not lose a lot at the plate in the process. I also gain a solid prospect in Cherry who could turn out to help me. Gain two quality starters give up 1, and basically swap Justice/young Sexson for Helton/and a young Holliday.
Rockies receive: 22 88 91 Wood, Kerry $207,000 Arb '02 25 86 86 Sexson, Richie $470,000 Arb '01 36 86 86 Tapani, Kevin $2,100,000 1 33 84 84 Justice, David $2,600,000 1 25 75 81 Matthews, Gary $207,000 Arb '03 28 74 74 Greene, Willie $800,000 1 20 66 88 Cherry, Rocky $6,500 Arb '03

I agree, I have been shopping Wood for as long as I have been in the league and the only offers I got were like Burnett and Beckett for him, or Berkman and Bagwell for him.. kidding... He's an injury risk but he has sky high ratings and he's 22, so I wanted to sell high hopefully I did, Astacio is an adequate replacement, losing Tapani kind of hurts he's a solid inning eater. I just acquired Sexson so losing him hurts but I get my Tennessee boy in Helton. I love Holliday so swapping Wood and Justice to get him and Astacio was okay by me.

its a bit much to give up from Chicago, but he is getting rid of two aging players... I approve, barely

Reject. One team is getting more than the other, I normally don't like Rejecting trades because it makes the league more fun when you trade, But I am not the only one who thinks this is out of proportion
