Brad Radke has pitched the Minnesota Twins to a 10-2 record and first place in the AL Central very early in the 2001 season. The 3-0 start has been very impressive for Radke along with a 1.08 ERA in his first 3 starts. Brad had 15-9 record with a 3.99 ERA last year, so he is on pace to destroy those numbers. On April 12th Radle threw a shutout while dominating the Kansas City Royals. Asked what has been the key to his fast start Brad said, "I've had very good control with all of my pitches and I'm just letting my defense behind me do their job." Brad also had this to say about last year's Major League Baseball's saves leader Ocativo Dotel, "If our starters can go out, get quality starts and leave the game with the lead, we will have a very good chance of holding on with our bullpen and one of the best closers in baseball. The Twins will count on Radke and Eric Milton to anchor their pitching staff and be one of the best 1-2 combinations in the American League. The Twins should be right there at the top of the AL Central again this year. They definitely have the offense to be a World Series contender and the pitching should be good enough to be effective. Look for these Twins to put a lot of runs on the board and shut many teams down with their pitching this year.
